Letting Go with Gratitude: Winter Solstice Celebration
An evening of mindful movement, guided meditation & a gratitude ceremony
Friday, December 21 • 5 – 8:30 p.m.
Studio B Evergreen
This mindful evening will focus our bodies, minds and spirits on letting go of the experiences and lessons of the past year with gratitude. Using the power of darkness on the longest night of the year, you will have the opportunity to:
- Release experiences, habits or beliefs that are no longer serving you
- Express gratitude for that which is easy and that which is not so easy
- Find a healthy way to process world events and bring love to an increasingly troubled world
- Become rooted in a supportive community
- Move toward the new year with fresh intention
5-6:30 p.m. — Qoya
Qoya is based on the idea that through movement, we remember our essence is wise, wild and free. We remember how to trust our body as our sacred guide, embody our soul, and live a life aligned with our truth by following our intuition. Wise, wild and free mirror the movement forms we practice: wise–the wisdom of yoga, wild–the creative expression in dance, and free–the freedom to enjoy our bodies through fluid movement.
6:30 – 7 p.m. – Refreshments & Conversation
7-8:30 p.m. – Guided Meditation & Gratitude Ceremony
Relax completely to enjoy a guided meditation designed to allow you to access your inner guidance on what you are ready to release. Personal journaling time will follow.
Then we will gather for a gratitude ceremony in the style of a traditional Despacho. This beautiful ceremony is an act of love and gratitude that helps us remember the interconnectedness among all beings, elements, spirits and sacred places.
