Qoya: In Community With Nature
Saturday, April 10
9-10:30 a.m. MDT
on Zoom
We often think of community as a group of people sharing common interests, cultural norms, heritage or living spaces, but have we thought of ourselves as being in community with Nature? As Elizabeth Jenkins points out in her book, The Fourth Level, “we are biologically, psychologically and spiritually designed to collaborate with Mother Nature, and these sacred reciprocal exchanges are the basis of life…” Yet, most of us spend a great portion of our time disconnected from our fellow Nature beings. Can experiencing the living energy of Nature in harmonious community with the living energy of our bodies be a way to live a fuller, more aligned life?
Join me Saturday, April 10, 9-10:30 a.m. MDT for Qoya, and allow breath, movement and the wisdom of your body help you explore! You are invited, to the extent possible, to experience a part or all of this class outdoors.
Qoya is based on the simple idea that through movement, we remember. We remember our essence is wise, wild and free. Wise, wild and free also reference the types of movement practiced in a Qoya class–
Wise: the wisdom of linking movement with breath
Wild: the expression of free dance
Free: expanding your capacity to enjoy your body through pleasurable movement
All levels welcome and no experience necessary. There’s no way to do Qoya wrong. The way you know you’re doing it right is when it feels true to you. Qoya also offers the invitation to connect with other women as we share in a safe and sacred space.
Join us on Zoom to experience movement as medicine and as a connector. Donation-based offering– $20 suggested, but please pay only what you can.
