Qoya: The Wild Power of Self Love
Friday, October 11
5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Studio B Evergreen
Loving ourselves can be difficult in a culture that seems to do every thing that it can to make us feel we are not good enough. Can you imagine truly, 100 percent, loving every single thing about yourself–past, present and future? What a powerful force you would be!
The closest I’ve come to touching into my wild power of self love has been while dancing in a Qoya class. Allowing my thinking mind to rest and feeling into the wisdom of my body has been a portal to a place where I can let go of feelings of unworthiness and victimhood and find the freedom of self-acceptance.
Qoya is based on the simple idea that through movement, we remember. We remember our essence is wise, wild and free. We reclaim our capacity to access our inner wisdom, express ourselves authentically, and practice loving ourselves in the midst of life’s blessings and challenges. We have the opportunity to share and hold space for others in a supportive circle. The very best thing about Qoya is that there is no way to do it wrong, and what a sweet life lesson that has been for me!
Join me Friday, October 11 to explore your own relationship to self love. It promises to be a wildly powerful evening.
Cost: $18 drop-in; class passes accepted
