Reclaiming Joy: Circle to Celebrate the New Moon in Leo
August 1 at Hiwan Heritage Park, Evergreen • 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Hosted by Studio B Evergreen

“We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy.”~
Joseph Campbell

Have you ever considered joy as a revolutionary act? That as we experience the heartaches of living in the world at this time, the best medicine might just be an infusion of unbridled, infectious joy?

Joy, expressed through pleasure and play, is not only not selfish, it is vital to our health and the health of the earth. Let’s consider our relationship to joy as we gather to celebrate the new moon.

The new moon provides the opportunity to renew, create and make a fresh start. The sky is dark at new moon time, resembling a blank canvas with unlimited potential. At our gathering, we’ll use the energy of the new moon and the support of community to set new intentions. You will enjoy a guided meditation, conversation, personal journaling and ritual.

Each New Moon Circle is themed to reflect the astrological sign in which the new moon occurs. This Moon Cycle, inspired by the fiery, sun-ruled, lively astrological sign of Leo, we will pay special attention to those things that bring us joy: recreation, play, love and creativity.

You are welcome to join the circle however you find yourself–-whether you are bursting with joy, grieving, overwhelmed, feeling blah, or any number of other feelings.

Come experience the power of coming together, diving deep, and uncovering the truth of our hearts and intuition. New Moon Circles are open to all who wish to support their feminine energy.

The circle is part of the Wild Woman Project, which hosts circles worldwide.

Wear comfortable clothing and please bring a journal & pen, water bottle and anything you would like to place on our altar for the evening.

Pre-registration is appreciated, but if you are unable to do so, we can register you onsite!

Check-in and circle will be held at Hiwan Heritage Park, weather permitting. If weather does not allow us to be outside, circle will be held at Studio B.

Garden hoses and loving kindness

Last weekend, I was struggling to roll up a garden hose for storage when I thought of my dad. I remembered watching him so many times cuss and fight to try to force his hose into a neat circle just like I was doing. I had to laugh. He was either delivering a message to me from the other side about a lesson he didn’t really learn while he was alive, or it was the Universe speaking.  Either way, I got it. Relationships are like garden hoses. You can cuss and fight to try to shove them into the perfect
