The final new moon of the astrological year rises in Pisces early Sunday morning March 10, providing energy for closure of the past and opening a doorway to expanded consciousness.
Pisces is a mutable (changeable) water sign, associated with the archetypes of Healer, Psychic, Mystic and Artist. It is connected to the realms of fantasy and dreaming.
This makes the Pisces New Moon a perfect time to imagine what we want to create and how we want to feel moving forward. As we set intention, we may find we need to first release any energies or old stories we are clinging to out of fear or false security. Watery Pisces also teaches us that we can flow with energy that feels alive and trust our inner knowing, even when we can’t see above the waves.

- Set sacred space—Create a simple altar, either near a body of water, or have a bowl of water or sprinkle water on your altar. Power colors for Pisces are sea-green and blue. Crystals for Pisces energy are aquamarine, blue lace agate and amethyst. Call in your guides, angels or any energies that feel sacred to you.
- After connecting with some deep breaths, play a favorite song or two and move your body with the intention to feel.
- While you move, ask your sacred ones to help you release any sticky energies or thought loops that may be blocking your expansion.
- Again, attune to your breath, and set an intention for the next moon cycle. As you do, focus on how you want to feel with your intention realized.
- Anchor the feelings and intention—maybe by writing in a journal, creating a piece of art, dancing to another song, or adding something beautiful to your altar.
- Take a moment to feel some gratitude for what is present in your life right now. Thank your sacred ones for participating in the ritual with you.
